Annotation:
The authors of the article address issues of industrial safety in the oil and gas industry, particularly during the execution of wells pulling-and-running operations. The relevance of the research topic is substantiated. The problems of the oil and gas sector and their impact on the drilling process are examined, focusing on high equipment wear and non-compliance with the safety techniques. Statistical data from the Federal service for environmental, technological, and nuclear supervision regarding the distribution of accidents in production sector are analyzed. Several real cases of safety requirements violation during well completion operations and the resulting severe health consequences, including fatalities, are presented. The regulatory and technical documentation regarding the industrial safety of wells completion operations in oil and gas production is studied. Deficiencies are identified, and recommendations for amendments are proposed based on the existing safety conditions at the facilities, addressing issues such as equipment wear and the relevance of existing protective measures. The technical characteristics of receiving platforms are considered and flaws in their design during operation are identified. The authors of the article introduce a proprietary impact-resistant protective limiting device aimed at enhancing the industrial safety of wells pulling-and-running operations during drilling.
