Prevention of accidents and emergency situations on main oil pipelines based on monitoring of permafrost soils

Annotation:

The development of geocryological processes greatly complicates the provision of the design position of main oil pipelines and has the most negative impact on their technical state. In this regard, there occurred the necessity of implementing a permafrost monitoring system that can beforehand warn of hazardous factors impact and ensure reliable operation of the facility. The authors of the article overview the existing geotechnical monitoring systems for the linear part of pipelines laid in the conditions of the Far North. A decision-making algorithm is proposed to prevent accidents on oil pipelines using a monitoring system as well as the main stages of such systems implementation are considered.
