Determination of indicators and components of the industrial safety culture system based on an expert survey in the oil and gas industry

Annotation:

The culture of industrial safety is an important aspect of the company's organizational system, that’s why it should be evaluated in company with other required elements of the management system. The authors of the article present the results of the study aimed at determining the composition of components and indicators of the industrial safety culture (ISC) system. The list of the ISC most significant components and indicators, which determines the level of its maturity, was formed based on the results of an expert survey of the most competent experts on industrial safety and labor protection. A questionnaire was developed that includes 23 components of the ISC and 17 indicators of the ISC for expert evaluation. The technique of opinions mathematical processing by setting weighting coefficients for all components and indicators of the ISC for their subsequent ranking in the general list and identification of the most significant from the point of view of experts is given. The industrial safety culture system includes 21 components and 14 indicators. Based on the indicators and components selected by the experts, the use of ISC in the organization will be an assessed.
