Organization of protection against corrosion of equipment and pipelines at the Orenburg oil and gas condensate field under the influence of hydrogen sulfide containing environments

Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the stages of development of the largest hydrogen sulfide-containing Orenburg oil and gas condensate field, the types and quantities of operational process equipment and pipelines. The factors, risks and types of corrosion damages of the equipment and pipelines internal surfaces caused by the impact of corrosively active components of formation raw materials – hydrogen sulfide, carbon dioxide, formation water are shown. The organization of inhibitory corrosion protection of process equipment and pipelines and corrosion monitoring, the corrosion inhibitors used, controlled parameters of anticorrosion protection and criteria for assessing its effectiveness are considered. The experience of testing anti-corrosion protection and an improved design of inhibitor spray nozzles to improve the efficiency of corrosion protection of the lower zones and the upper part of gas separators is presented.
