Annotation:

The authors of the article consider the problem of industrial waste management: drilling cuttings formed during oil wells drilling using various drilling fluids and iron-containing powders obtained from waste of degreasing stations during water treatment. The aim of the study is the research of the iron-containing additives effect on the physical-mechanical properties of drilling cuttings to obtain environmentally friendly materials during thermal neutralization. Patterns of changes of water absorption capacity and compressive strength have been established depending on the mass fraction of additives. The recommended proportion of iron-containing powder insertion into drilling cuttings for different types of drilling fluids has been suggested. A material flows scheme of the process of joint neutralization of drilling cuttings and iron-containing powders is developed.
