Assessment of the effectiveness of labor safety training for employees of an organization

Annotation:

The article considers the problem of assessing the effectiveness of occupational safety training, the relevance of which is caused by increasing number of accidents at work due to insufficient staff qualifications. The authors of the article analyzed the existing methods of evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of occupational safety training, their shortcomings were identified and a method for developing an instrument for evaluating the effectiveness of occupational safety training in an organization was proposed. Using the methods of expert assessments and rank correlation, the most significant indicators of effectiveness of occupational safety training evaluation have been identified. Based on the selected indicators, a questionnaire was developed for employees in order to identify weaknesses in the occupational safety training process in a large company serving the oil and gas complex, the main economic activity of which is the repair of machinery and equipment. The application of the proposed approach makes it possible to objectively assess the quality of education, reveal weaknesses and introduce corrective measures into the educational process. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of using the developed instrument to improve the occupational safety training system at enterprises, thus contributing to improving the occupational safety management system and reducing occupational injuries.
