Research of the procedure for identification and registration of hazardous production facilities in the oil and gas complex

Annotation:

The authors of the article present the results of the process of hazardous production objects (HPO) identification of in the oil refining industry, which are characterized by a high degree of explosion, fire, toxicity and chemical hazard. The main criteria by which an object can be considered dangerous, such as the use of hazardous substances, the operation of equipment under high pressure and temperatures are presented. The procedure of HPO identification is also being considered, including the analysis of project documentation, calculation of the amount of hazardous substances and the assignment of the appropriate hazardous class. Using the example of gasoline catalytic reforming unit and hydraulic treating of the diesel fraction, hazardous signs were identified and the mass of various substances was calculated, including gasoline, diesel fuel, hydrogen sulfide, hydrogen-containing gas, and others. Based on the calculations, the hazard class of the facility was determined as well as perfection of HPO identification procedure for increasing the level of industrial safety and preventing possible accidents at oil refining facilities.
