Annotation:

The authors of the article note that oil and gas fields development in the Arctic zone requires taking into account the permafrost rocks, since climate warming and the thermal impact of oil and gas facilities can lead to a violation of the stability of the geological environment and infrastructure elements. Geocryological monitoring serves as an instrument of assessing and predicting the state of permafrost. Methods and technologies of permafrost monitoring are considered, some results obtained in the conditions of the northern part of the Timan-Pechora oil and gas province are presented.
