Annotation:

Cement bridging and well abandonment operations are one of the most important factors of an oil and gas field existence. It is caused by the fact, that cement bridges construction (CBC) and abandonment operations can take much time and be difficult, and therefore very expensive, especially in subsea wells. However, the main difference between onshore wells and subsea wells lies in the fact that the wellhead assemblies are located under water, sometimes at considerable depths and at high pressures [1]. Therefore, maintenance, cement bridges construction (CBC) and subsea wells abandonment require specialized mobile offshore installations. The operators of subsea wells find it economically unviable to perform these works by the traditional way. Thanks to science and technology advance, new, riser-less well abandonment technologies have been introduced that promise to revolutionize subsea well operations.
