Annotation:

The authors of the article present information about the reaction of hydrogen sulfide neutralization accompanying hydrocarbon fluids of productive formations entering the well when opening the rock massive. The results of the study of hydrogen sulfide kinetics neutralization in industrial drilling fluids using a number of hydrogen sulfide absorbers (manganese monoxide, mono-ethanolamine, iron bicarbonate) are given. The effect of these absorbers on the rheological properties of the basic drilling fluid is also assessed. It is shown that previously unused manganese monoxide exhibits more active properties when absorbing hydrogen sulfide than its chemical analogs: manganese dioxide and trioxide, as well as mono-ethanolamine and iron bicarbonate, which are widely used in drilling technologies to combat hydrogen sulfide aggression. Along with the neutralizing activity, manganese monoxide, being part of the drilling fluid, exhibits good structuring and anticorrosive properties.
