An algorithm for prediction of a well watering based on the regression analysis

Annotation:

The article describes a new approach to predicting of oil wells water flooding based on historical data. The algorithm is presented in MS Excel and tested on various mathematical dependencies such as exponential logarithmic dependence and multivariate regression. Based on the results of the analysis using various methods, a choice was made in favor of three- and four-factor regression equations, and the parameters of the well operation were determined, which are included in the regression equation. To assess the convergence with the actual water flooding parameters, a predictive calculation for one year was performed using the regression equation, Corey functions and trends from the hydrodynamic model.
